Hi and thanks for stopping by to see me here at Whytleigh. My name is Sanders Whitley. Whytleigh is a probable spelling of my last name from a couple of hundred years ago, along with several other variations. I had, of course, wanted my website to be Whitley.com but that was already taken. I went back to my roots and am paying respect to my ancestors with Whytleigh.com.
In a nutshell
I was born and raised in North Alabama. Maybe you have heard of Tuscumbia? A small town, our biggest claim to fame is as the birthplace of Helen Keller. Like a lot of other young people, after graduating from high school I got out of my hometown. My way out was the United States Navy.
After my enlistment, I returned to Tuscumbia, where I soon learned that success was just not there. Four years later, I re-enlisted and spent the next 20 years living the dream, seeing the world and living life. I met my wonderful wife and together we lived and loved from the East Coast of the U.S. all the way to Japan.
After retiring from the Navy, we settled down in Iowa, yeah; I know. But Iowa has been good for us. I’ve gotten some great production jobs and our family grew by two. We adopted a brother and sister and we have miniature horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and geese.
The only missing piece for me is the Mission.
My New Mission
In the Navy, I knew guys who worked part-time jobs, their wives (if they were lucky) worked full time. Since I retired, I have known people who work their tails off, getting overtime and part-time jobs; struggling to make ends meet.
I’ve known fathers who had to work instead of being able to take their daughter to the Father Daughter Dance. Mothers who can’t attend Parent/Teacher conferences.
My new mission is to help you have the time for your family, to have the time and be financially able to provide the good things in life.
Our Goal here at Whytleigh
Our goal (mine and my family’s) is to provide information and resources for YOU and YOUR FAMILY to make informed and well-thought-out decisions regarding your future.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below or email me and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
